Twelve Jennings Haug Keleher McLeod Attorneys Named 2022 Southwest Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

PHOENIX/ALBUQUERQUE — Jennings Haug Keleher McLeod is pleased to announce that twelve attorneys with the firm’s Arizona and New Mexico offices were named to the 2022 Southwest Super Lawyers and Rising Stars rankings by Law & Politics Magazine. The attorneys recognized as top in their areas of practice include Thomas Bird, Ann Conway, Jack Cunningham, Karen Gaylord, Kim Lough, Paul Roshka, Edward Rubacha, Chad Schexnayder, Matt Sloan, Gary Van Luchene and Kurt Wihl. In addition, R.J. Lamb was named a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star again this year.

Thomas Bird earned recognition by Southwest Super Lawyers for his work in appellate law. He practices in the firm’s New Mexico office and, having had numerous published opinions, is well-recognized for his extensive experience in appellate law matters. Tom has been recognized annually by Southwest Super Lawyers since 2009.

Ann Conway is recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer in New Mexico for her work in legislative and government affairs. She has represented clients in the New Mexico Legislature and before state and federal agencies for more than 35 years. Ann also represents clients in the areas of fidelity and surety law, construction litigation, insurance law and insurance bad faith litigation, as well as mediation and arbitration. She has been recognized annually by Southwest Super Lawyers since 2007.

Jack Cunningham is being recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers for his personal injury law practice. He has extensive trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defense in cases ranging from personal injury and defense coverage to professional malpractice and uninsured motorist matters. Jack practices in the firm’s Arizona office and has been recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers annually since 2007.

Karen Gaylord was named to Southwest Super Lawyers for her work in environmental law. She practices in the firm’s Arizona office, representing public and private entities in a wide range of environmental matters, including state and federal superfund law, hazardous wastes, solid waste and special waste, brownfields, water and air quality, NEPA compliance and environmental issues in Indian Country. Paul Roshka earned recognition as a 2022 Southwest Super Lawyer for his work in Securities Litigation. His national practice representing companies, their directors, officers, and employees in securities law matters is based in the firm’s Arizona office. Paul is known as a bet-the-company litigator, having defended brokerage firms, investment advisory firms, and their financial advisors, and prosecuted financial claims by individual investors in federal and state court, and in arbitrations and mediations in numerous jurisdictions. He has been recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer annually since 2007.

Edward Rubacha is recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer for his general litigation practice. He represents clients in a wide range of construction and commercial litigation matters in Arizona, Colorado, and California, including representing clients doing business with Native American tribes and Tribal entities. Ed’s trial and litigation experience includes matters specific to the construction and surety industries and general commercial business disputes. Chad Schexnayder was named a Southwest Super Lawyer in surety law.
