JHKM Attorney T.J. Mitchell is Named Chair of the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Valley Young Professionals Board of Directors

PHOENIX — JHKM is pleased to announce that T.J. Mitchell, a business and securities litigation attorney with the firm, has been named chair of the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Valley Young Professionals (VYP) board of directors.

VYP is a program of the Greater Phoenix Chamber for Valley-area professionals ages 25-39 aimed at creating the next generation of Phoenix leaders by informing and educating its members on important issues facing the local community. The VYP board, which is in its 12th year, oversees programming that is designed to attract and retain young professionals to the Greater Phoenix area by connecting them to the community.

“The Metropolitan Phoenix area’s economy is thriving, and young professionals have incredible career opportunities here,” said John Sinodis, chairman of JHKM. “Thanks to programs like the Chamber’s VYP along with the work of T.J. and other board members, young professionals are being provided a way to further excel by establishing themselves in our community, creating lasting relationships and developing into future leaders. At JHKM, we are all very proud of T.J.’s leadership and commitment to our community’s future.”

T.J., who previously served as vice chair of the VYP board, has been a board member since 2019. As the new board chair he shared his vision and plans in this recent blog post. T.J.’s goals are to transition VYP’s programming back to engaging (and safe) in-person events; to be intentional about implementing member feedback, to make our events the best they can be for all attendees; and to continue building VYP’s reputation as the premier young professional organization in Phoenix.

The board members bring unique and diverse perspectives that help carry out the VYP mission to build lasting relationships, establish professional development opportunities and act as a catalyst for change in the community.
